Feedback on Siobhan’s Zoom mini-meditation sessions …

“I found it really helpful with my current state of high anxiety. Must admit, I experienced a few moments of tears welling up and had a good cry after I hung up but maybe that's to be expected right now (with Covid-19). With a 95 year old Mom in long term care that I can't visit in person, emotions are pretty close to the surface!

I have found an unexpected benefit to the meditation sessions with you to be that I am more able to handle mood swings. With the current stress in the world I found myself prone to emotional angst. I have happily discovered that these moods can actually be positively affected by being calm which is what I am learning with your sessions. I find I am now smiling a lot more. ;)

It was the first meditation session for me, so all new and unknown. I found intro info very helpful and motivating. I love your way of talking and explaining things. It was hard to focus during the meditation, but I was still able to relax and even wanted to take a nap just right after haha. So, I guess, it worked! I think next time I will be just laying on the floor instead of sitting down.

Thanks Siobhan for the meditation session this afternoon. It’s refreshing and a great way to recharge too. I had my kids sitting next to me during the session and it was the first ever experience for them too. Thank you again for offering this to us.

Meditation was something I tried occasionally, but I always felt like something was missing. Meditation for the Curious Beginner filled in all the gaps; the ‘why’ and the ‘what’ of meditation. As a result I now make time to practice on a daily basis. Siobhan’s instruction is highly educational and engaging. Thank you very much for the meditation session on Wednesday.  I very much enjoyed how you eased into the meditation by giving us all the background of the beginnings of meditation, how it has evolved and the profound benefits related to this practice. I wasn't sure what to expect and so this worked out perfectly and you were very good.

Recently Deepak Chopra had offered virtual meditation for 21 days and I had become quite immersed in it.  However when it was over I neglected to practice it regularly so your virtual session is a great nudge to get going again and yes the group session is indeed very powerful. Shawna had told me about the insight timer and I think it is time to get it and get going!

Thank you Siobhan for the mini session yesterday evening. It was so good to see you and be guided in the meditation. Yes I would love to participate, but if you can change your session to either a Tuesday or Thursday, that will be ideal for me in case you decide to let it go longer. Otherwise I will just exit the meeting a few minutes early.

It was very serene and lovely and all your talk too was so soothing to listen to.

Siobhan – You have no idea how I needed that time to renew my meditation practice.  I was so stressed over many things today, especially the Parkinsons, and was not able to really calm down.  But you helped me and I am grateful.  The mantra is one I usually sing to and I spent a while singing it after.

Having said this I would like to continue with you next Wednesday, if you would send me an invite, please.

I had done meditation as part of a yoga course, but never really knew if I was doing it right or how it was helping me. I got a Christmas present of the Meditation Curious Beginners workshop and it has been the BEST present ever. Siobhan's knowledge and how she breaks down and explains meditation, is amazing. This is a workshop not to be missed. I get out of the bed each morning looking forward to my meditation time. "
